Port Isaac ... The home of Doc Martain.

This photo overlooks the Doc Martin set. It was bizarre walking around somewhere I didn't know, yet it seemed so familiar after seeing it for years on the TV. The village was so busy, it most be a great pull for tourism. Although if I chose to live by the sea, it would be for a quiet life, so I can imagine some residents are driven mad by being constantly overlooked by strangers.

It was so hard to take a photo of this fish. Every time I lifted the lens, I struggled to find where he was. I thought the pattern on his camouflage body was beautiful, this photo definitely doesn't do him justice.

Another lovely day at the beach. I treated myself to two new bracelets and a gorgeous Rob Ryan post card.

A very long walk ...

These are some of the photos I've taken today.
It's the first day of my holiday, my mum and I decided that exploring would be a good start to the week. What started as a stroll along the beach turned into a 10 mile trek, but it was worth the achy feet. I had a brilliant day, sat listening to the waves hit the beach and watch the surfers fighting for a good wave.

Rollerskate ....

I absolutely love this lucozade advert. When I first saw this advert the product it was advertising isn't what I expected. But it's memorable so it works brilliantly. The bight sporty clothing is perfectly put together, the music gives it a summer vibe, and the imagery is a visual feast.
A perfect summers day ...

Inge Jacobsen.

Inge Jacobsen creates images using hand-stitch. I love the texture and depth it gives the images.
It has reminded me of some work i did in my first year of college, I'm going to hunt them out so i can put them on here. I really like this style of illustration and would like to try experimenting with it.

Tom Bagshaw.

Today I came across the work of Tom Bagshaw. I was drawn to it instantly, I love the fine art style he uses. Tom Bagshaw creates his images digitally. I think the balance of his traditional yet edge work is perfect. I also really like the mysterious, dark mood that is shown in a lot of his work.

Dwayne Michael Carter Jr ... By Abilouise

I drew Lil Wayne from a photo Terry Richardson took for GQ. I had to take a photo of my drawing because the scanner wouldn't pick it up properly, unfortunately the photo isn't very good quality. I have only drawn a section of the photo. I created this drawing using fine liner, pencil and Biro.

Gemma Ward ... By Abilouise

Gemma Ward is one of my favourite people to draw. I love the proportions of her face.
I'm really frustrated that i can't remember which photographer took the photo, I've drawn from, for some strange reason i haven't written it down. I created this image using fine liners and added colour with pencils.

A Royal Wedding ...

As soon as I saw Kate Middleton's dress I fell in love. The dress was designed by Alexander McQueen designer Sarah Burton. The dress reminded me of the dress Grace Kelly wore on her wedding day. The 1950's is one of my favourite era's, I think Sarah Burton has created a dress with a beautiful, modern, 1950's influence.
