Long time, no speak...

Well it’s been forever since I've posted...

I've been super busy with job changes, house moves, broken relationships and thankfully a lot of laughing. Since I was last on here we've had an amazing Olympics, the jubilee, I've been on a couple of brilliant holidays and that’s just a few things on the list, so for a quick update here’s a few moments I caught on film....

 

 

 

 



J&K ....

Well I haven't posted in ages, I've been sooooo busy, but this couldn't not be posted about. Last week I went to see Jay-Z and Kayne West in concert, it was absolutely amazing, the atmosphere was indescribable and anyone who has ever said Jay-Z cant sing has definitely never seen him live, I danced my butt off and sang so much I woke up the next morning with no voice, if you ever get the chance to go and see them don't even think about it, say YES !!!

Dunham Massey ...

This weekend the National Trust have had a free weekend, so today I've visited Dunham Massey. This is one of my favourite National Trust houses, I love the huge gardens, all the deer wandering around the grounds and the house is absolutely beautiful, luckily the rain held off for us, so we managed to keep dry and have a lovely day.

As usual I went a bit crazy with taking photos, but I like this one best.

Party Time ...

 Last night I went out with a group of friends for a birthday, its the first time I've been out in ages. There has been a huge sale in Topshop this week so Ive been able to treat myself to a few new clothes, including the blue dress and belt I'm wearing in these photos, for the grand total of £35, a bargain in my eyes.

Soaking up the sun ...

Its been such a lovely day, I've spent it with one of my oldest friends, listening to music, (which I think always sounds better in the sunshine) having a good catch up and playing with my cat Chloe.



London ...

Last weekend I went to London and stayed in Town Hall Hotel & Apartments. Its a beautiful 1910's building with traditional architectural features, more building work was commissioned in the 1930's, so there is a lovely blend of eras. I stayed in an Executive one bedroom apartment, which was very open plan with huge old windows and a combination of different styled bespoke furniture. I loved walking through the hotel, there was so much to look at, everything finished to the highest of standards and the staff were brilliant, making my stay that much more enjoyable.

Abit of sun ...

This is by far my absolute favourite summer collection. Its just started to warm up and this little bit of sun is getting me very excited about the things I'd like to be wearing this summer. Unfortunately I don't think I'll ever be able to afford Roberto Cavalli, but my fabric hunt has begun. Next weekend I will be taking a trip to London to collect my boyfriend who is flying home from Melbourne for the week, while I'm there I'm hoping to take advantage of some of the many fabric shops and the treasures they hold.

Givenchy ....

I absolutely love Givenchy at the minute, the patterns are really striking and I love the casual suit look they've got going on. I really hope I can find a suit to wear this summer, I'm thinking dusty pink with shorts, not trousers. Easy to dress up or down, a really simple throw on and feel fabulous outfit.

Number 83 ...

Ok so for my first post, I told you five things about myself, today I've looked back on that and have decided it's about time I gave you an update. Out of the original five facts, two are no longer the truth. I have now finished college and due to being constantly wound up by my lovely boyfriend, I'm also eating meat again, not alot, but I am. Right anyway here are the new five ...

I now consider myself to be an illustrator.

I have a beautiful cat.

I'm currently saving for a trip to Melbourne, Australia.

I love to cook.

I work in the menswear department at Next.

ANTM ...

I hate the drama that comes with America's next top model, but I'm addicted, I love the concepts for the photo shoots and being able to see the creative process from wardrobe and make-up til the final outcome. These are my favourite photo's I've seen for awhile, I think there really striking, there defiantly not what I expected. 

Kelly Thompson ...

Photographer, Illustrator and Art Director, Kelly Thompson is by far my favourite fashion illustrator ever. I love her style of drawing. Later in the year I'm hoping to travel to Melbourne, Australia, so would love the chance to see her work in exhibition, if I'm really lucky I'd love the chance to meet her.

Whats happened to the world ...

Last night I went out for the first time in months, it was great until we left the house. I got a drink thrown over me and my best friend got hit by a complete stranger, I was speaking to one of the bouncers and he said he's never seen anything like it, it's crazy, I can't believe people think its ok to behave like that.

Before we left the house ...

My dress is from next, shoes from Kurt Geiger and a vintage bag. Unfortunately I'll have to get my shoes resprayed after an unlucky night out. 

Need this Jacket ....

This jacket is from the new Giorgio Armani collection. I think it's beautiful, I'm not rich so this weekend I will be popping to my local fabric store, to see if I can see any similar fabric and make myself something as close to it as I can get.
